Hi, my 4 year old son was recently diagnosed with high functioning autism. Finding him a therapy center has been a nightmare. There are so many different types how can i decide which is the right one for him?

Yes, there are a lot of options. Popular option include ABA, Social therapy, Occupational therapy, Speech Therapy, and DAN doctors/allergists. Each child is different, so there is no one size fits all. In whatever program you choose, I would try to be involved and get a feel so that you can make sure it fits your child. Also make sure it lines up with your parenting. Even though they are the ‘experts,’ you are the expert in your child. Nothing can replace your prior knowledge. I know the beginning can be overwhelming, but the fact that you are out researching means that your child is in good hands.
